Special delivery

Nope, not another one of those Kate is obsessed with mail related posts.  This was actually a special delivery from me to a friend.  I got a text from my friend this morning that she injured herself playing footie (soccer to us Americans) last night.  She is in quite a bit of pain (this is a tough gal so for her to admit that I know that it must be bad) so I asked if she needed anything.  This evening she sent me another text and asked for me to drop by some pain meds for her.  So off I went...I even took her some sloppy joes, buns, and cheese so that she would have proper meals during her recovery.

This doesn't seem like much but this is the first time a friend here in Singapore has asked me for help.  I have met a number of people here but have only made friends with a couple.  I think it gets harder to make new friends the older you get.  It is especially hard when you travel as much as I do.  So while I feel really bad for the injury of my friend it made me smile that she felt comfortable enough asking me for help.
