Sydney commute
Thursday, May 21, 2009
As you've probably read, I have been staying with my friend Lindsey at her place in Annandale, NSW. Our office is in Chatswood which is a bit northwest of Sydney. Each morning this week on the commute to work we've driven past Darling Harbour, through Sydney, and across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. On one hand, I have to say it is pretty cool to be able to drive over such a historic and well-known bridge each morning. On the other hand, there is a ton of traffic on it so it is always a bit slow getting across.
Either way I'm still pretty amazed that my job has afforded me the opportunity to see such great places. On my first trip to Sydney I was awestruck by the Sydney Opera House and by the Harbour Bridge. Alan and I actually did the bridge climb one day so I have bragging rights that I walked across the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Who knew seven years ago that I'd be driving across it every day for a week and getting frustrated by the traffic on it?

If you look closely in the picture you can see a group of bridgeclimbers!
