Is it okay to love your sofa?

This is a question I am posing to all of you...I expect comments...it has been ages since I have received any comments on my page so wonder if you are all reading this or not. Don't be shy, just write something...anything...I do it most days and am amazed at how easy it is.
Anywho...back to the question at hand...is it okay to love your sofa? I am not 'in love' with my sofa but I am loving my sofa today. In fact, it is after 3:00 pm here in Singapore and I've been on the sofa since I woke up this morning. It's Saturday so I am not feeling guilty about it...I've caught up on most of my favorite websites and Facebook and some DVR and some other strange television shows. I'm starting to think about taking a shower so I can be presentable and go and get some food...I have none in my fridge...another joy of traveling too much...
I think that we as people may take our furniture for granted. It is always there, patiently waiting for us when we return home. It never argues with us and can even serve double duty as a storage space or dinner table or whatever else... I personally do not take my furniture for granted. If you recall, I lived in my apartment here for about 6 weeks without any furniture so have a deep appreciation for it. I also spend many, many nights in hotel rooms. Of course they always have beds but rarely have comfortable chairs or sofas...hence my loving of my sofa today. Sitting on a bed all of the time is just not the same as sitting on a sofa.
So, I ask all of you...is it okay to love your sofa?

It is most definitely ok to love your sofa! I have my favorite recliner, but I love my sofa too. I don't feel guilty about laying down on the sofa in my work clothes, unlike the bed. The sofa helps me enjoy things like TV and working on my laptop or iPhone, but makes it so comfy to take a nap while doing any of those things. I too love my sofa!
Its ok to love your sofa, but I don't think its ok to looooove your sofa... know what I mean?
It is okay, but a little strange. I wouldn't say I have every loved a certain piece of furniture, liked, maybe, but we never moved to the next level.
By the way, I read the blog everyday, and enjoy keeping up to date with your travels and things you are doing.
As the honorary chair of the committee for furniture/human diplomacy, I really need to couch my remarks in context. Many people would rather table this idea. Our secretaire would disagree. As my position involves draping ideas in their best cloth, to better blanket our community, I can only conclude: sofa, so good.
We used to have the life force sucking sofa. Every time anyone sat on it, they would fall asleep. It did have a fatal flaw, however. It had to be hands down the ugliest sofa known to man. It was avocado green and harvest gold with a partridge in a pear tree theme.... we kept it slip covered all of the time. There are days that I miss that sofa.....
I very much loved the first couch I ever bought. It was a very soft leather and dyed the color of eggplant. It was soooo comfortable. I recently heard that it reached a tragic ending and was very sad.
