Week 29 of 52
Handicraft Night Market
Luang Prabang, Laos

After leaving Hanoi, Vietnam we headed to Luang Prabang in Laos.

I have always wanted to go to Laos.  When I was in elementary school I wrote a book report on the country.  I can't remember exactly how old I was but I do know it was elementary school.  I remember pulling out the encyclopedias and doing the research.  I even remember tracing the outline of the country.  I don't remember much about Laos itself but it has been on my list of places to visit ever since then.

One of the great things about Luang Prabang...other than having such a cool name...and being in Laos...is that each night they shut down one of the main roads in the town and host a handicraft night market.
I have been to many night markets across Asia but this one had some of the nicest people selling their items.  And, it was one of the most colorful and best organized I have been to...
Much more on Luang Prabang in the coming days...
