Happy Chinese New Year! It is the year of the lao hu or tiger. Here are some of the pictures of tigers that I have taken in the past couple of days...
This next little guy is actually a pastry. It comes from this yummy store called Breadtalk. As the name indicates, they sell all sorts of bread and rolls and pastries and when you walk in the door they yell out to you "Welcome to Breadtalk!"
Inside him was this yummy chocolate and creamy goodness! He was very tasty despite my initial thoughts not to eat him since he was so cute.
This is my favorite tiger picture:
Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Singapore Zoo. This cute white tiger backed himself into the water and just decided to hang out there. It was about 2:30 pm so the sun was high in the sky and it was pretty warm in the sun. Smart kitty...
Last night we went up to Marina Square to check out the festivities for the New Year...we decided that Chinatown would be far too insane and far too packed for our liking. Here are some of the sights from Marina Square:
So, happy year of the tiger to everyone...especially those who were born in the year of the tiger.
Gung hay fat chow!
(Have a happy and prosperous new year!)
